Collaborative, integrative therapy just for you.
Providing personalized therapy sessions for individuals and couples either in-person or from the comfort of your home.
My therapeutic style integrates Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and psychodynamic theory to guide clients towards relief and opportunities for change. My approach is client-centered and supports individuals as they build upon their strengths while exploring their fears, doubts, goals, and desires in a non-judgmental and comforting space. Helping clients learn about themselves, what they deserve, and what they are excited to experience in their lives brings me a lot of satisfaction. I hold anti-racist, body acceptance, and pro-choice perspectives in my work and in my life.
Areas of focus
LGBTQIA+
As a Queer therapist, I am dedicated to helping clients explore their identity, relationships, challenges, and joys. Whether you have been out for a long time or are just starting to peel back the layers of your identity, we can parse through your feelings together. I offer therapy that is sex and kink positive.
Depression
Perhaps your feelings are connected to a recent loss or maybe you’ve been struggling with heavy emotions for a long period of time. Whatever your scenario, we will talk through your hurt and find paths towards comfort and hope.
Anxiety
Feeling on edge and overwhelmed by negative thoughts can interfere with every part of your life. Together we can identify what might be activating these thoughts and feelings to help you adopt a new perspective and behaviors. You deserve to feel ease in your day to day life.
Life transitions
Divorce, a new career, moving…these are all significant life events that can often be extremely challenging to navigate. Being able to discuss all of the fears and excitement that come with a big change can be healing and help prepare you to handle a significant shift with more insight.
Relationships
Being in a romantic relationship is a joyful experience but can also bring undeniably frustrating, painful, stressful, and triggering feelings. In our sessions you can share and work through your doubts, worries, concerns, and hopes either individually or as a couple in a neutral, nurturing space.
Family issues
Talking out family stories, hurt, trauma, loss, and expectations can help you understand how you feel, behave, and think. In our sessions, we can draw connections between what has happened in your family of origin and the dynamics of your current family situation. Working on boundaries and autonomy are common themes for many clients who bring family issues into therapy.
“Jeni is the best listener. She is warm but tactful. I feel like she really takes what I say, reframes it, and helps me find my own solutions.”
